Horse Sympathy

Another horsey sympathy card using Deadbeat Designs Sketchy Horse.  I used this image couple of weeks ago and was struck by the (completely irrelevant) fact that he had no feet but that thought inspired this misty treatment, created by daubing white pigment ink onto the panel around his legs. I used a blender pen to put white ink into his blaze.

My poor sister has had a rough week and needs a couple of these sympathy cards for her clients.

Thank you for all  your kind wishes - I'm feeling much (not quite completely) better, but it's birthday week for my daughter and there's much to be done, including a pre-birthday party for her and one of her friends who can't come to her party next week. I'm taking the two of them for a mani-pedi and then back here for pizza and cheesecake (not sure I'll be eating that - crackers still sound good to me!)

  1. This is beautiful, Ardyth! I love the misty look and the white blaze really pops! I had that nasty mess a couple of weeks ago. It takes a while to feel well again.

  3. Oh poor you Ardyth - you sound as if you've been having a rough time with your bug and the snow is probably a bit of a nuisance too. I love this wonderfully minimilistic design, with that misty snowy look. Hope the birthday celebrations go well and that you feel better for them. Vicky x

  8. Nice to hear that you are on the mend :)

These colors are so 'right' for an equine sympathy card. I love how you sponged the background to make it look like the dearly departed horsey is standing on a cloud! Such a powerful sentiment too.

  9. You could experience natural disasters like cyclone, tornadoes,
earthquakes, and fire. Like a pc when much too many programs are downloaded at the moment the process can shut lower
from overuse. I'm not against such games, but it never hurts to have alternatives in case one doesn't want their child playing those kinds of games
or maybe just would rather their kid be exposed to other types of gaming than the simple "shoot, run, shoot" types of games that are so popular.

  16. Sorry to hear your sister is in need of some of these. :( The misty image is gorgeous though and I love the sentiment.
And sorry to hear you've been sick! Have you graduated from crackers onto something more solid yet?
